How to Sync Your Wio Bank Account with Naqood
Uploading bank statements every month is easy to forget. If you bank with Wio, you do not have to. Connect your Wio business account once, and Naqood fetches your new transactions every hour.
Your transactions then appear in Naqood ready to reconcile, and a task in Tasks helps you book each one correctly.
Step 1 - Add your Wio account
Go to Bank > Bank Accounts and click Add Bank Account. Naqood asks Who do you bank with? Choose Wio.
If you bank somewhere else, choose Another bank. You enter the account yourself and upload statements when you want the transactions in Naqood.
Step 2 - Choose a start date
Naqood asks How far back should we go? Choose the oldest transaction Naqood should bring in. Anything earlier stays out of Naqood.
- Click Get all data under Sync everything to import all historical transactions.
- Or pick a date under Sync from a date and click Continue.
If you already have transactions in bank reconciliation, for example from a statement upload, Naqood shows Read this before you continue with the date of your latest transaction. Set the start date after that date so the same transactions are not added twice. Tick I have read and understood this to continue.
Step 3 - Approve access in Wio
You are taken to Wio to approve that Naqood can read your account information. Confirm there, and you are sent back to Bank Accounts, where Naqood confirms that Wio is connected. Your Wio accounts are added to the page.
Step 4 - Let Naqood sync every hour
From now on, Naqood fetches new transactions from Wio every hour. You do not need to upload statements. Each sync also looks back over the last 7 days, so payments that were still pending at the last sync are picked up once they settle.
New transactions appear in Bank > Bank Reconciliation under Unreconciled Transactions.
On Bank Accounts, use Sync now on a Wio account to sync straight away, or Stop sync to disconnect. Transactions you already imported stay in Naqood.
Step 5 - Book each new transaction
Every time a new transaction arrives, Naqood sends you an email about it. If several transactions arrive in the same sync, you get several emails.
Each new transaction also gets a task in Tasks, where Naqood helps you book it correctly, for example by recording a payment, creating a purchase or booking it to an account.
Step 6 - Reconnect when asked
Your approval in Wio is valid for a limited time. When it runs out, your Wio account on Bank Accounts shows that the connection has expired, and new transactions stop syncing. Click Reconnect Wio and approve access in Wio again.
Open a Wio business account
Not with Wio yet? On the Bank Accounts page you can find the Wio x Naqood offer: 6 months free on a Wio business account with the code NUQ001. Click Open Wio to get started.
Best Practices
- Pick the start date carefully, so you do not import transactions you already have.
- Act on the email right away. Open Tasks and book the transaction while it is fresh.
- Reconcile little and often. With hourly syncs, a few minutes a week keeps your books current.
- Reconnect as soon as you are asked, so you do not miss any transactions.
Summary
Connect your Wio business account from Bank > Bank Accounts > Add Bank Account, choose Wio, pick how far back to go and approve access in Wio. Naqood then fetches new transactions every hour, adds them to Bank Reconciliation, emails you about each one, and creates a task in Tasks to help you book it. Reconnect Wio when your approval expires to keep syncing.
